Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 medium bananas cut into ½-inch thick slices (approximately 13 slices per banana)
  • cinnamon
  • avocado oil spray or another high smoke point neutral flavored oil spray

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F.
  • Place the sliced banana onto a plate. Spritz on both sides lightly with oil spray and sprinkle with cinnamon.
2 medium bananas, avocado oil spray, cinnamon
  • Place the banana slices into the air fryer basket in a single layer with some space in between. NOTE: If the non-stick coating of your air fryer basket requires additional oil to prevent sticking lightly spritz the basket.
  • Air fry for 5-7 minutes, gently flipping (they will be soft) the slices over halfway through cooking. Remove and use immediately.
NOTE: depending on the amount being cooked and your air fryer basket or air fryer tray size you may need to cook in batches.

Notes

Note on recipe portions
We used half of a medium size banana as one portion. You can scale the portions up or down depending on your needs and how you'll use the bananas.
Storing leftovers
Once the bananas are cooked in the air fryer they should be eaten immediately. They will not store well.
