Ingredients

  • ¾ cups blue cheese crumbles
  • 1 cup non-fat plain Greek yogurt we recommend Chobani brand
  • 1 ½ tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • cup reduced fat buttermilk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon dried dill

Instructions

  • In a bowl combine the Greek yogurt with the blue cheese. Roughly mash the blue cheese with the back of a spoon or fork to incorporate it with the Greek yogurt.
  • Add the apple cider vinegar and garlic powder and stir to combine.
  • Slowly pour in the buttermilk while mixing. Stir the dressing to fully combine. Season with kosher salt and/or black pepper to taste.
  • Transfer to a jar, seal and store in the refrigerator until ready to use. We recommend chilling for 2 hours before using after making for best flavor and texture.

Notes

The dressing can be used as soon as it is prepared but the flavor and texture are best after 2 hours chilling in the refrigerator.
Variations
Add some fresh herbs. To change the flavor up a bit stir in some chopped fresh dill, chives or fresh parsley.
Want it smooth? After making the dressing use and immersion blender to make it smoother.
Want a homemade chunky blue cheese dressing? Start with a wedge of blue cheese from the grocery store and break it into pieces yourself. You can control the size of the pieces and make the perfect blue cheese dressing for YOU!
How to Store
Store in an airtight container (jar is recommended) in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
