Air Fryer Chicken Tenders (no breading)

Moist, tender chicken tenders are ready in 10 minutes cooking time. No breading or egg wash makes these delicious chicken tenderloins a perfect low calorie, low carb main dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenderloins
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon herbes de provence
  • teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Combine the chicken tenderloins, olive oil, kosher salt, herbes de provence and black pepper together in a 1 gallon Ziploc bag.
  • Squeeze out the air and seal. From outside the bag massage the seasonings into the chicken to coat.
  • Place the chicken tenderloins in a single layer in the air fryer basket with room in between.
  • Cook at 390 degrees F for 10 minutes. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165 degrees f.

Notes

Seasoning. We love this sophisticated blend of herbs BUT that's only the start! Consider trying: Italian seasoning, poultry seasoning, taco seasoning, smoked paprika with some garlic powder, cumin with some chili powder or cayenne pepper, onion powder. Experiment with your favorite spice flavors.
Air Fryers. All brands, types and sizes of air fryers cook slightly differently. Monitor the chicken in your air fryer and adjust the cooking time as needed or cook in batches (depending on the size of your air fryer basket). Use the internal temperature of the chicken as the measurement of doneness (165 degrees f).
How to store
Allow the cooked chicken to cool slightly then store any leftover chicken tenders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. They can be rewarmed in the microwave or eaten cold.
